3068C - Inspired Stitches

Wednesday, January 19th 2022 One day

From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Faculty: Lynn Koolish

Fee $52.00

Skill Level: All Levels

Description: Many cultures have a history and tradition of making quilts using scraps and old clothing. Boro, Sashiko, Kawandi, and Kantha quilts come from different cultures but share the common use of scrappy fabrics layered and held together with stitches becoming a quilt that is both functional and beautiful. Choose your style of quilt (or mix and match) then arrange and stitch. In the process, learn a bit about the history of these quilting styles. The hand stitching in this class is big, fun, and easy—you can be as precise (or not) as you choose, so relax and spend a few hours with fabric and thread.
